Once you have mastered the basics, there is still a lot to learn before you consider yourself a truly competent climber. Our Intermediate Climbing Course introduces this information in a very engaging, high mileage format. If you want to improve your skills and competency in a multi-pitch environment, this is the course for you! During the course, the student takes more responsibility as a member of the climbing team. Advanced concepts related to anchoring, belaying, rappelling, and rope management are taught. Students use these new skills to move more efficiently through the vertical world while maintaining a high level of safety.

|Prerequisite||Prior multi pitch climbing experience is a huge plus. You should be comfortable and competent belaying, rappelling, seconding a lead climber (removing climbing protection), tying all forms of a figure-8 knot, water knot, and double fisherman's knot.|
Our intermediate climbing course is conducted entirely outdoors in a two or three day format. It is worth stating that the amount of information presented in our courses can be overwhelming. While we do offer the Intermediate Course as a two day course, students usually walk away with a better working knowledge of the techniques when they take the three day version.
All necessary equipment is provided. If you have your own equipment and wish to use it, you can do so after your guide has determined its’ appropriateness and safe condition.

During this 2-3 day climbing course we focus on imparting to the climbers the skills necessary to take on more responsibility as a member of a climbing team and as such, are flexible depending on each client’s needs. We will cover advanced concepts in anchoring, belaying, rappelling, and rope management. Climbers will be exposed to more challenging and varied terrain. We will continue to discuss objective hazards, their evaluation and the beginning of self rescue concepts and preparedness. As always, superior and personalized climbing instruction makes for a quality learning experience.
This course is also offered in an abbreviated two day version. Please note: the enormous amount of information to be learned is best suited to a three day course.
