The AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Program is designed to enable instructors to ‘proficiently facilitate and instruct the sport of rock climbing in a single pitch setting’. The program is offered through the American Mountain Guide Association.

The Single Pitch Instructor Assessment is the second and final step in the AMGA SPI Program. This two day exam requires candidates to demonstrate technical skills, climbing movement standards, teaching ability and group management skills.
